I have a question;

The ECU is already supplying current to the solenoid valves that allow vacuum to actuate the VDI and aux ports.

Would the ECU tolerate the current requirements of direct actuators for those items? Because that would make things fairly easy, connect actuators to some hacked throttle cables and connect the old actuator wires to the new solenoid. Unless that would burn-out the ECU though.

Electric actuation would also theoretically make a MegaSquirt conversion easier. Not to mention getting rid of most of the vacuum lines on the engine. XP

i just plan to make a simple relay circuit for them using the stock solenoid valve wiring. same thing you do with the s4 setup except you would use rpm switches. without the cost of those this is a viable option for s5 if i can find a way to make it reliable/easy

Well, keeping relays to a minimum is ideal. I grabbed the fuse block out of a Crown Vic at the junk yard. Several maxi and ATO fuses, and four relay plugs. When I replace the stock fuse block, one of those is going to be taken by the e-fan key-on relay, need another or two for aux lights, another for a future A2L intercooler pump, if the ECU can handle the current load of some actuators for the ports, it would be ideal. My aux port shafts are pretty easy to turn, the actuator's wouldn't need to be very strong. Or very robust if they're remote mounted.

And Badmofo3000 has every right to charge us $10 for the solenoid part #s. And we have every right to go down to Grainger and ask to see their selection of solenoids. (I had no problem buying battery cable from them)

i have no intentions of remote mounting them, it was easy to make little brackets for them on my last car so i dont plan on running a series of cables and pulleys and such. and they do pull enough current to need a relay, those stock circuits usually only move a vacuum pintle.

if theres anyone that is bored and could measure the stroke distance in mm for the aux port levers i would greatly appreciate it, im going to ebay this and hope for the best

Gotcha. Need to look for a bigger fuse block then...or get a standalone relay block.

Wait what?! Do you have any additional info or pictures on this? I've never heard that the Euro exhaust system was different as well.

Ignore the red mspaint, that was me marking where you would have to add some metal to cover to port air ports that's go into the irons to show someone else.

I'd be shocked if the system in the OP of this thread is still working 6 months later. Open frame solenoids, not designed for the heat of an engine bay, would not last long.
