I am in the process of replacing my window regulator on the passenger side... after a full afternoon, I finally got out the old one which seized in the fully up position, but now I am stuck because the new one doesn't work... the scrapyard said they tested everything before they sell it and I know this is true because I can see where they cut the wire to check..... I have no voltmeter but will have access to one tomorrow... Is there any1 who has had this problem or just knows where and what to check? My fuse is good btw... and my driver side window sitch is broken, so I have no cap on it... my driver side window works (down with pliers, up with the tab) but the window lock tabs are missing... I am going to pull them out of the passenger window that I got the regulator from because they are the same but which way is lock which way is unlock?

 

how did you get it out with it stuck up (the window)?

 

I unbolted the regulator and let it slide (carefully) down to the bottom of the door.... at that point, I removed the window holding crews through there the top bolts come through the door

 

Convert to manual windows!!!
