electrical problems
I have a 1987 rx7 gxl which has a new engine and for some reason the wiring seems to keep going awry.
I have had the new engine for just a little under a year and the problems seems to be endless. Occasionally the windows don't want to work(particularily the passenger side) the wipers decide to stop working, lights randomly stay on or don't turn on, and a few other minor things, most annoying of all is the alarm seems to go crazy every once in a while, it will beep after both doors are locked and then keep beeping at inconsistent intervals...can anyone give me a hint as to whats wrong. Is it maybe just an electrical fault in that year or was something not put in right when the engine was added?!?!?!

Sounds like you have several problems
Windows= bad or dirty switch contacts (probably in the drivers switch).
Wipers= bad wiper switch, cold solder joints in the switch, bad relay in the switch, possibly bad transister in the switch. PM or email me if you want a rebuilt one or want to try and rebuild it yourself (I have posted have to replace the relay a couple of times, if you use the search function found in the upper right hand corner of this page).
Alarm= bad interior door switch or key switch.
All of those problems have nothing to do with an engine swap.
