stock?

Did you just installl it?

Means your 12v acc isnt swiched, or you didnt plug it in.

theres two 12v cables or something

it goes like
12v constant
acc swiched (I think is 12v)
and a ground.

If you connect the 12v constant to both acc swiched and the red on the deck it will keep it on perm aslong as its grounded.

yep, and if *you* didnt install it, some jerkoff could have just wired it to the column.

BTW, RED = 12V Switched, YELLOW = 12V Constant

in most (99%) cases.

if it used to work and now it startn up check your wires on your cd player they should be crimped then check your yellow and red wires going to the cd player use a voltmeter or test light to read them with the car on and off.. i im almost postive your yellow wire on the cd player is your turn on lead aka acc wire at least thats how it is on the sony im lookn at right now. anyways check the booklet u got with your cd player. this wire should turn on and off with your ignition and the red should stay on with or without the ingition. if the yellow wire is on 24/7 check it for a short. if that doesnt work try finding a new source to wire it to like daytime running lights
