maybe your grounding isn't as good as it used to be.

Does your alt warning light come on when you hit the brakes?

You need to get a meter on the battery posts while she's idling and tell us what you're getting, too, that's a good way to figure out what kind of shape your grounds are in...

I've had that problem before when it was a poor ground, but I actually had a similar problem again and the battery was toast.

It's probably one of your grounds, which I'm sure someone already mention. Happen'd that last with me and my buddy in his 90 silverado, it would loose power when he let off the gas. It was a main ground that came off.

Shut off means nothing... it should be 12.6 volts with the engine not running.

The important part is when the car is running... what is the voltage then, and then with the brake pressed.

Should be at least 13.5 volts with the engine running at any time (even with the lights on and the brakes pressed).

If it is not, then you have a bad alt or poor grounds.

I had the same problem and turns out it was the ground. if it's in the back, then run a wire to the tranny, as a ground. AT least a 4 gauge.

When you relocated your battery......where did you put the ground from the battery? To the chassis? Or to the engine? Or both?

The factory battery ground wire connects first to the chassis then to the starter bolt on the transmission/engine using the same cable. Or both chassis AND engine, if you follow me.
