Turned key to lock to shut off motor, and nothing. Motor would not shutoff, and smoke starts coming out from my dashboard. Shut off motor and check my fuses. The illum fuse is melted along with the connector on the board. Now, when I turn on the ignition, my head lights go up and down with the switch off. Advice needed...

I was afraid I would have to replace the entire wiring harness. Anybody got a spare s4 vert fuse box (one located under the driver side dash) for sale?

 

Have you done "any" wiring to the car before it decided to fritz out? The cause for the car not turning off was either the ignition switch was problematic or a plug was improperly connected to another plug or the fuse box was incorrectly passing voltage from one fuse to another.
