Electrical issues help?
So lately my 7's power (radio, clock) restarts when I brake while driving. It was having problems starting up as it would take a few cranks also. So recently it wouldn't stop starting! It will only start when i jump start it. I figured it was a bad battery so I went out and threw a new one in. That did not solve the issue, still had to jump start the car and the speakers don't work now. I checked out my alternator and it measured 13.89V. Before I change my alternator, belts, and maybe even starter would anyone encountered similar problems?
Thanks guys!

It's not the voltage the alternator puts out, it's the current you're worried about. If it's the stock alternator on (I'm guessing) an S4, then that's probably the issue. I had a problem with my aftermarket stereo cutting out every time I hit the brake pedal. I installed LED brake lights, and it band-aided the problem for a little while. Alternator output voltage was good too, around 14v. I installed an FD alternator and that was the end of all my problems.
Also, a battery with high cold cranking amps helps things too. I tried getting a relatively small battery for my relocation, but soon realized that such a small battery will die quickly in a car with 80's electronics.
Good luck
