Electrical help!?

Hey guys,
Any help you could give on this subject would be great. I know every car is different but try your best to guess here. In my car I am having huge electrolysis issues with my coolant among other things. I’ve seen voltage as high as .700V in my coolant. I’ve done everything I can think of and check and see where it’s coming from with no luck. I’ve spaced the rad off the body and even grounded the rad with no luck. I have everything imaginable grounded and still no luck. The other thing that boggles my mind is at 7K rpm the car immediately drops to 7 o 8Volts and starting shutting down things and on the dyno it starts bucking harshly. My tuner had no idea what it could be and myself also. I’ve been to a professional auto electrician and I talked to them about the issue and they said try added a few more grounds; I've done that after with no more luck. Also my cars charging system is a little weird. I have a semi new alt in there now but here is whats going on. It charges fine most of the time always right when I start the car at idle with everything on still 13.5V+ but at times while driving it will drop to 11V 12V at idle with everything on. This is no good, but at the next set of lights its fine. I think that’s most of my problems let me know what you guys think, theres lots of issues so any help you can give would be great.

Thx guys!
Tyler

Try isolating the radiator from the rest of the chassis?
Or does "spaced the rad off the body" mean just that?

I don't know about your radiator, i've never heard that before, (would some one care to explain?).
As for your other problem, have you rewired your MAIN ground and power? I know it's not specific, but a better chassis and engine ground will help any electrical problem, at least a little bit.

the main power has been rewired.
and isolating the radiator from the rest of the chassis is done yes..

im clueless right now.
but my tuner and I are going to throw on some bosche coils and rn the power direct from the alt and bypass the stock system, well see if that helps but i dont know about this electrolysis. Ill keep workin on it and see if I can find anything else

Thanks so far guys!

it sure wouldn't hurt to get an upgraded alternator. Either get an FD alternator or take your old one to an alternator shop and have them rebuild it with better components.

There is some electrical current induced by the coolant level sensor, are you (btcy) sure you are not confusing that current with actual voltage through the coolant???

I would also check for AC voltage on the alts main output line (the thick wire). If you have a couple of blown diodes in the internal regulator it could show up as reduced or spikeing voltage at higher RPMs (although you should see some AC on the line at all times if there are bad diodes in the regulator).
