Electrical Gremlins, Please help!

Thanks for all the input last time, she is back up and running. But now I have a new problem. Every time I step on the brakes, or turn my turn signals on, the hatch lid open idiot light comes on. and the tail lights don't. the stereo, and seatbelts also stopped working. I checked all the fuses, they are good. and the Seatbelt relay, just sits there and clicks, every time you open or close a door. Any suggestions?? Please Help!
matt.

I just gave up on the auto sholder belts.
I manually rolled them back & pulled the control box connector behind the glove box.
I leave them latched & just pull it over my head when getting in.

About the warning light panel: There is a typical problem with the solder joints where connectors join circuit boards. Resoldering the joints usually fixes many electrical problems.

no guys. I know we have these typical problems with our cars individually, but all of these problems with this car started all at once and with a single issue. A few months ago Stock7's car stopped running altogheter. Replaced the alternator and still nothing. He then put it in the shop and was getting no spark or anything at the coils. Turned out it was the ECU and they replaced it and it ran just fine - for five minutes. So after searching they found that the main wire underneath the dash - the big one - had broken and wasnt properly connected and thats why sometimes there was some spark. Well they fixed this and put the old ECU back in and now all of the problems have started. His signals and tails dont work, the idiot gauge is constantly on and the seatbelts dont work. His stereo deck doesnt work and is constantly ground looping as well as his alarm is now fried. I think there is a relay or something of some sort that has cause all of this or maybe something on the ECU but in no way aer these problems random so if Icemark or some electrical guru could help that would be great because Ill be looking at this car over the weekend. thanx guys

With all that, there must be some harness damage you have not yet found.

if your room fuse was blown, all kinds of things can happen if the idiot lights.

Have you checked all the fuses??? do all the dome lights work???

what did you do, that started this problem???? engine swap? You say, "she is back up and running"... why was it not running and what did you do???

she was driving long one day all nice and happy a few months back and then it just stopped running and we thought it was an alternator problem. Got one from silverrotor and still didnt fix the problem so we took it to the shop and they found out in the end that the reason there was no spark at the coils was because of a bad harness connection with the main harness underneath the dash so they fixed it to where the car runs. But now nothing else works, not even the speedometer, but the rev gauge does and it seems every other function is routed to the dummy cluster. When you hit the signals the hatch light blinks and the same when you hit the brake, which is really weird.

btw fuses were checked, and there are no dome lights, sunroof, taillights, radio, seatbelt retractors, car alarm, signals, brake lights BUT the headlights work.

sounds like the wrong dash harness was used, or that you have major fuses out under the hood.

all of this **** because of a missing fuse. How the hell did everyone miss this? I assumed of course they checked the fuses and sho nuff.....still has a few problems but looked like all it needed was a fuse.
