electric omp ->mech omp

is it possible to change from an electric omp to a mech omp while retaining the stock ecu?

No.

The ECU will go into limp mode without it, and the S5 front cover is different as well.

Yes.No. Maybe.

RTEK makes a chip that will neuter that Limp mode in the ECU.

But like he said, the front cover has to be changed to a S4 cover AND there is no provision on the S5 throttle body for connecting the mechanical actuating rod.

To operate it you would have to switch to an s4 TB, but then I don't think there is a way to hook up the s5 tps to the s4 TB.
