Electric gremlins. Where to start?

So far it's just my blinkers, horn and hazards
Hopefully it's the CPU

But now parts of my logicon quit on me
The mixer motor quit so I'm stuck on hot
And also stuck on one zone. My face..
The blower motor mixer still works proper tho

I've replaced all fuses and got weird results

Rear defrost light is stuck on and doesn't work unless I unplug my STOP fuse
If I plug the CPU in my hazards won't turn off
No horn or blinkers still

Any ideas where to start on this?
I have a factory FSM and have a basic understanding of the wiring diagrams
Just kinda overwhelmed on where I go first

You take it one bite at a time. But I'd start with a difference CPU as that is where the horn and blinker/hazard circuit resides. Mazdatrix sells replacement circuit boards.

Replace the whole logicon with a used one. Dime a dozen in the classifieds on this web site. You have to pull the speedo to reach where it plugs into the dash harness.

One final bit of advise, don't feed it after midnight or get them wet.

So the CPU is not bad
I think the hazard switch is stuck on
I'll tackle that soon along with finding a logicon

I can hear the flashers for left and right with the hazard fuse out, but nothing lights up
With the fuse in, everything lights up but hazards won't turn off
And the rear wiper fuse keeps blowing

I hope fixing the switch cluster solves it

The CPU plug for the hazards should have 7 wires to it. One of these wires is Light Green. W/the hazard button depressed this wire should have a ground signal on it. So w/the hazards on check this wire and see what you get. W/the button in the off position the wire should have voltage to it.

And does your car have the factory alarm? The LG wire also runs to the alarm. If the alarm places a ground on the wire it will over ride the hazard button and cause them to stay on.

The wires related to the horn are in the largest CPU plug. There are three relevant wires in this plug that relates to the horn. Green/White wire has constant voltage (powered by the Stop fuse). When you press the horn button the Green/Orange wire will have a ground to it. When this occurs the voltage from the G/W wire passes onto the Green/Red wire. Again, the Green/Orange wire also runs to the alarm unit. This might be interfering w/your horn.

The defroster relay is located near the power antenna. It has a plug w/four wires. Unplug this relay and see if it affects whether the defroster light stays on or not.

Thanks a lot satch. Good info, hopefully I can get this thing street legal ish soon
I don't believe it had a factory alarm
But it does have an 80's aftermarket alarm
I think I have disabled it, but it's not taken out
I'll start probing around and see what I find this week
Thanks again satch
