ok if you do searches you will find a wealth of info on this subject however to make a long story short. No real gains other than cleaner engine bay for looks and also if you like wrenching on your own motor.

The E fan is just to add extra cooling to your radiator like if your running your car really hard, racing, etc... i use both an e-fan and the clutch fan and my car runs cool as can be even when im racing it hard... there arent really any significant gain HP wise.

hondahater was exactly right. There are little to no gains, the only reason for it would be to make more room.

swbooking - i highly doubt that you actually need 2 fans. ive seen plenty of tuned rx7's running on a single efan while AutoX and never had a heating issue. something must be either badly tuned or not working properly.

This is really the major reason most people do it. As long as your clutch fan is working properly there's no real reason to change it. It will cool just as well as most of the e-fans...again if working properly. If you're like me though, you want that nice clean engine bay and want a more up-to-date look

The clutch fan should fail in the ON position (ie noisy as spinning too fast). The electric fan will fail in the OFF position (overheat bigtime).

ROOM, A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF ROOM OPENS UP!! MAKES ITMUCH EASIER TO WORK ON THE CAR IN THE ENGINE BAY. IT MAKES FORA CLEANER LOOK. iT IS ALSO MORE EFFICIENT COOLING. NO POWER GAIN WILL HAPPEN. HALF OF THE MODZ U WILL DO TO UR FC WILL JUST BE TO HAVE MORE EFFICIENCY, RELIABILITY, & ACCESS. REMEMBER THE MORE OF THESE U HAVE, THE EASIER IT WILL BE TO GAIN POWER

Electric cooling fan for AC

I added an electric cooling fan because of poor performance from my AC at idle. When converting from R12 to R134A, head pressures run higher. I installed a new fan clutch, parallel-flow condenser and finally an electric cooling fan when I was still having AC problems. It definitely helped in my situation.
