Electric Fan for Koyo Rad. S4

So from what I have heard, the early 90's fan from the Ford Taurus is the best fit for the Koyo Aluminum Radiator. What years specifically and what other things are there to know?

I have that exact setup. 92-95 Taurus SHO 3.8L. The junkyard charged me $50. The fan controls the temperature well on the low setting. I never have to use the high one.

I'm very impressed with it on my car.

Personally I think the Taurus fan is a poor fit compared to the GM fan mentioned in my writeup.

Wow, so I'm at the point of wiring it up... and... I'm hella lost. That write up you just provided isn't clicking... and I dunno. I just wanted to wire it to the car how the manual one was (or wasn't?). I thought I could just wire it to something that was already there... crap. HELP!

You need some type of thermo switch. Wire it through a relay switched by the thermo switch. If you have a standalone, many will have outputs that you can set to signal the relay based on coolant temp.

Here is a working link to Aaron's write-up:

http://aaroncake.net/RX-7/efaninstall.htm

He gives examples of where to find the switch you need too.

Are you saying that you don't understand, or the site isn't working? I just checked the site (the server is currently 6 feet from me) and it's working.

Manual fan? The RX-7 does not have a manual fan. You really can't easily wire it to something that is already there because nothing exists. The stock aux thermo fan turns on at very high temperatures.

DON'T wire the fan to ignition.

My writeup lists the GM fans I use. It's already been linked (twice) in this thread.
