well, i could eather keep driving with a broken fan clutch (aka the fan doing jack **** at temp) or i could do this... which would you choose? I'm getting a Fluidine or Koyo anyway to help with the cooling. I think it will be more then efficent enough for those 20 min sessions at road courses. It's like 37* outside right now so I'm not too worried about over heating and it only get up to around 90 tops durring really hot summer days.

Oh yeah I've got a question... Would removing the A/C Condenser help the car get a little more airflow and run cooler? My compresser has never worked and the system has a small leak somewhere so i'm removing all the A/C stuff

I use fiero fans, their shroud covers damn near the entire radiator, and it looks pretty clean when installed properly. Of course, the stock fan IS better, but for the sake of how much crap I cram in/move around/etc, it works better for me this way. Using the microtech to trigger it (hate those damn thermoswitches, always would fail on me)

A few guys here use Ford Tuarus fans. They say they do something like 3800 cfm1!

I have a Permacool Finger chopper sitting in my room waiting for me to fab a shroud.
I also bought the Black Magic temp switch.

If you aren't modding your hood/Hmount then an E-fan isn't really needed.
The stock shroud has held up and can rarely be beaten.

I'm kind of thinking of putting my Permacool on BUT AZ heat is something not to **** with.

It would increase aiflow through the radiator due to less restriction, but it will not make the engine run cooler. The engine's temp is regulated by the thermostat, so assuming the it was normal before it should should stay where it was. This will slightly improve the cooling system's capacity though.

And you believe them? Most people wouldn't have a clue how to measure a fan's airflow or have the equipment to do so accurately, and I've yet to see a manufacturer publish this sort of data. More likely they stuck their hand in the airflow and guessed...

Actually, I would guess that they stuck their ***** in the fan blades and how much it hurt on a scale of 0-5 is how many cfm it flows from 0-5000

The Ford Escort fan has a built in shrowd the covers the entire radiator like it's sock! Also, it can be picked at any junkyard for under $50

I have no idea how many CFM the escort fan pushes, but I do know that when I lived in Texas the car ran a few degrees cooler.

Of course, the reason I put an E-Fan on the car was for ease working in the engine bay, plus i kept breaking fan belts. I did fix that though.
