is this for the ac or for the coolant system. any issues that could arise from not having it.

 

Its for the A/C. It also kicks on wthen the coolant temps get way out of hand (212* I think....cant remember offhand) . Anyway, yea you can remove it without any ill effects, providing you are removing A/C also.

 

It's a helper for if the AC is on, or the coolant temp gets too high.
If you're stuck idleing in 100 degree summer traffic, it's useful.

 

I thought it was for the ac so I took it off. I was finally able to download the cooling system fsm today after the fact. that threw me off since it was listed but didn't have any other ac stuff. thanks for the help.
