AZ Electric Fan

I have a Perma Cool Electric fan on FC. That runs when you turn the key to acc. My question is there a aftermarket temperature sensor/switch that I install so the fan only runs when it hits a set temperature.

yes you can buy an adjustable thermostat from any auto parts store such as pep-boys,kragen,autozone etc. the good ones go for roughly 60.00 but you can get the cheap-o ones for about 20 bucks. peace -mike

I planned to go with SPAL PWM fan controller. They're around $70 and you can set them to read any sensor and turn on any time.

I may just build my own using an arduino though.

Spend a couple bucks and get the adjustable one. The set thermostats never really seem to come on at the desired temp.

I grabbed mine from Autozone for about $25.00. There are a couple different models. The one I have is the 30amp relay version. It came with a temp sensor, controller, relay and wiring.

Man I need to get into the thermostat making business. I could probably slap together an adjustable one for $8 in parts plus $7 shipping (assuming I didn't order other electronics at the same time). If anyone's interested in making their own I can put together some instructions.
