Electric FAn???

87 NA right now i think my E fan is not working very well. in stop and go traffic or just sitting in traffic it will over heat. What E FAN do you guys use?

How many CFM is your fan?
Also... you do have a fan schroud right?

Check that the relay has 12v.
Could be a fuse or breaker.

Check that it's not burned out.
Jumper 12v for battery to fan does it run?
If not replace the fan.

Idle it with the hood up & watch the temp gauge.
Did the fan come on?
If not replace the fan thermo switch and/or relay.

I'm a cheepskate, so I snagged a used one from a Ford Tarus.
It's shroud fits perfect.
A mids-90's Escort fan works even better - It's a 2-speed.

Imperial 16" 1850cfm puller works wonders it cuts on and leaves blow out from under the car. It's always good to have a radiator thats in good shape, and clean coolant. Water wetter dosent hurt either
