two schools of thought here. Those that swear by the e-fan, and those that swear by the stock fan.

So be prepared to hear both sides.

Me personally? I think nothing flows like the stock fan. But then again, it really clutters the engine bay.

If every one is always stearing at your engine then get one, but other than that don't fix it if it ain't broke.

If your stock fan is working OK then spend the money on something you'll actually notice.

The only way an electric fan can cool better than the stock fan is is the stock fan was broken and not providing suffucient airflow. If the stock fan is working fine, there will be no change in cooling.

Yes, but that is because the stock clutch fan failed, and I didn't want to pay Mazda 300+ for a replacement. Also, I will soon need the extra room in the engine bay in front of the rad...

If you go to autozone, or advaned auto a stock clutch fan is like $50 bucks at the most.

Is it a generic replacement, or a perfect match?

same reason i have an electric fan.

(not that i need the space in front of the rad, just i prefer to have it opened up.)

electric fans may not be marginally better, but i prefer the general pros and cons over the stock clutch fan.
