Hello everyone,

i've just intalled a Electric airpump on my car and took out the maual pump

i followed this site

to simulate the ACV in the car

the question is, i have it hooked up now, like this and well from
this site

it said that the pump should not be ran for too long...

should i turn off the pump when i am not going to smog check?
would that hurt my cat badly?

or people who did it, did u notice that the pump will burn easily?

 

here in MO (or anywhere else for that matter) pretty much everyone has removed the ACV and air pump because the don't check smog. in answer to your question yes, you should be fine in only running it when smog is being checked.

 

well because i will eventually run a test pipe after i smog

but the thing is, either i turn off the pump now, but i risk hurting my cat until i smog, or i run the airpump like the ACV and hope the airpump won't burn itself....

so i was wondering how i should run the pump....

 

lucky you alex....i have to do the stupid test...ugg it pisses me off how these ppl can't drive my car....they kill it 6 times the last time i was there.......

 

The pump was built for intermittant duty, which is about how you're using it.
It should last until you're back on the test pipe.
