On a TURBOII its where J9FD3S said. On a non turbo it's where EAGE8 said. You have a TurboII.

Any particular reason your asking?

ah, sorry, good to know. I've only seen it on an NA so I assumed it would be in the same place. My S5 doesn't have one...

Piece of cake. Remove it. Lay it on some roofing flashing or thin metal approx .030 to .060 thick. Draw an outline of the EGR valve on the thin metal.

Then cut out the outline of the EGR on that piece of metal. Install that piece of metal b/t the EGR valve and the manifold. It's now blocked off at little cost. Also plug the vacuum line attached to the valve. Done.

Heck, you could lay the EGR on some gasket material and cutout the outline of the EGR on the paper and then install it b/t the EGR and the intake manifold as described above. Just don't cut any hole IN the gasket paper.

i use soda cans, they work great for this, when your trying to diagnose something.

funny story, when i smogged my t2 many moons ago, i forgot to put the EGR back on, smog guy forgot too, and it passed...
