EGR question/motor question!?

Ok I have a 88 GXL but I took the motor out of my 90 GTU. The motor that was in the 90 GTU was not the stock motor but a rebuilt motor that the guy before me put in.

Ok heres the real question, my 88 GXL motor(original motor) had a egr on the intermediate housing and the motor out of my 90 GTU(now in the 88) did not have a egr on the intermediate housing, theres no hole or nothign there for one.

Now I'm confused because on the racing beat webpage according to them that all the S4 and S5 non turbo cars should have a egr valve.

So now this leads me to another question, whats with my motor then?

Amazingly, Racing Beat is wrong.
NO S5 has an EGR valve, turbo or non-turbo.

Is there a plate there bolted down where the egr should be.

and if you are going to use an S4 intake on it, there is an extra exhaust port you will have to block off just below the intake ports on the S5 block, if you compare the two intakes you will see the S5 has an extra port on the bottom, I suppose for some sort of EGR system.
