EGR gasket

hello,

quick question... i have a 86 na and am putting my engine back together and found out my rebuild kit does not have a EGR gasket.

now heres my question can i use blue rtv or do i need to order a gasket?

You are probably fine with blue RTV....but I should have a EGR gasket that if I can stuff into a regular envelope I will send it to you for free.

take the free one. not so sure blue RTV will hold up under those kinds of temps!

I would try using copper silicone over the blue silicone if I were you. On some piston engines i've known people to use copper silicone when then don't have exhaust gaskets as a temp solution.

Onno how hot it gets back there on the egr.

Buy the gasket paper and a exacto knife. Do you REALLY want RTV to go down the holes going to the intake? I'm referring to *squeeze out* and it hanging over and into the holes. Then at some later date breaking off and going into the rotors.
