EGI relay

is tis the EGI relay. If so, which is the wire that I can install a switch, so I won't have to open the hood everytime it gets flooded.?

if you mean installing a fuel cut off switch? then the middle black and white wire is the one to cut..

Looks like the fuel pump relay to me...It is under the dash attached to the right side of the steering column...Fuel pump relay. The EGI or main relay is under the hood on the Driverside near the firewall.

I expect you are looking for the fuel pump relay though....If memory serves me right the brown wire is the signal wire from the ECU but which wire you want totally depends on how you want to wire it.

NO. If you cut the brown wire it will not kill the fuel pump. If you dismiss that wire from the circuit.....the Black/red(turbo car) or the small black/white(non-turbo) will pull the CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY in, and make the fuel pump run as long as you hold the key to START.

Just looking at his CIRCUTI OPENING RELAY, we can see that he owns a turbo car, not a non-turbo car. So he needs to splice in the kill switch to the black/white wire located in the middle of the plug as stated in the above posts.

Just to be different: There is no such thing as a EGI relay nor a fuel pump relay in those terms.

Yes...I forgot about the start circuit turning the relay on as well. However there is a "fuel pump relay" but it is not the one under the dash. (it is shown on your wiring schematic). I know how you like to be acurate about things oh and the CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY for the 89+ N/A I believe are the same as the turbo. I don't have a turbo to compare to but it matches the pics and the wire diagram.

I have always wondered if would be better to cut power to the actual injectors instead of the fuel pump. I mean splice into the wire that feeds the power to the actual injectors.....What do you think?
