Question EGI fuse question

Can anyone tell me the most common causes of a blown EGI fuse, because every time I stick a new fuse in, it blows and the car dies.

Oh, my bad

Then you probably have a short somewhere. A wire is touching something it shouldn't be, drawing more power than the fuse can handle.

My EGI fuse kept blowing when my AFM became ungrounded. All I had to do was reground this little wire and it worked fine.

And I think there was a fellow who had a shorted out over the top switch or reverse switch that was causing his problem. Just guessing and not looking at any schematics. Could be way off base. Just sitting here I think that fuse also feeds all the solenoids also, therefore it could be several items.

YOU might start by disconnecting the plugs at the ECU and see what happens. That way you eliminate the ECU right off the bat and can sleep easier tonite.

Free manual at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com it has schematic that can be easily followed from the fuse to the items that it feeds. Sorta.
