Talking EFR 8374 Will it fit HKS Cast Manifold?

Alright guys, so long time coming with this build and finally bought the turbo. Only thing is I'm not sure if it will fit in the engine bay with the HKS cast manifold. I'm not home for a few months due to deployment sooo any help would be nice! Can you fit the EFR 8374 EWG turbo with the 1.05 A/R hot side on the HKS cast manifold? Or will I need to change manifold? Does anyone have the 7670 or 8374 currently installed on their fc? If so can you take pictures of engine bay and post them?

I've been throwing together ideas for this build for a long 6 years. Basically since I bought the car in early 2009. And now I have finally started acquiring new items for this high compression turbo build using turbo block. Plan is to do large street port and no more than 20psi after breakin. 400 hp is the goal which should be obtainable with this turbo. Boy I cannot tell you how excited I am to be finally getting on with this project! But back to the topic.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

not sure if the turbo fits, but 400hp should happen under 15psi with that turbo, if all the ducks* are in a row it might be like 12psi.

*said ducks; run 9.0:1 rotors, or if you're going for high hp 8.5's. or really high hp, RX-7,RX-8‚È‚ÇREŽÔ‚ð’†S‚ɃŒ[ƒX‚©‚çƒtƒB[ƒhƒoƒbƒN‚µ‚½ƒmƒEƒnƒE‚ð‚à‚Æ‚É‚µ‚½ƒ`ƒ…[ƒjƒ“ƒOƒvƒƒVƒ‡ƒbƒv ²“¡¤‰ï 8.3's. use excellent or new housings (all 5), and if you must port, use a mild one. the whole combination of parts needs to work together, and a mild port fits in a combination better than a big one, or if you like you can port too big. the FD oil pressure regulator and a baffle plate are nice, other than that the rest of the engine should be stock.

i would not recommend 20psi on that desert gas and heat. 17psi max on that 91 octane, unless you have further knock suppression.

I have a EFR 7670 with the 1.06AR exhaust housing on an FD HKS T04Z Stainless tubular manifold modified for dual 44mm Tial MVR wastegates.

I am getting rid of my FC to focus on my FD so let me know if you are interested in the manifold, wastegates, 3.5" turbo back exhaust. It has the same exhaust side as the 8374.

I get offers on the 7670 all the time from the non rotary guys around here so I'm not worried about selling that, but the FC specific parts are going to be harder to sell since us FC guys are cheapskates.

BTW, I made 420rwhp on the 7670 with boost at that rpm 21psi (I was running 26psi in the low rpm for torque). 400rwhp on the 8374 should be easy!

^^ Gas around here is really bad too despite the mild climate so I was running 13psi pump gas on my 8.5:1 CR rotors.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm set on running 9.4:1 rotors for now since i have 4 sets and not going to buy another set for higher power. This is just a easy build for me to keep around 400 and use it as dd along with drift. I'll have a spare vehicle but prefer to drive the beast.

The desert gas in vegas does suck *****!!! I plan to later in future run meth with 91 or ras gas on track days but daily will be low boost(10psi) and 91 octane.

J9fd3s I'll probably do a mild pineappleracing port or large. But like i said i wont be changing rotors so limited to psi before knock in the desert....should still be a fun build!

Sending you a message blue. Interested in details.

I do not think an 8374 will fit the fc3s hks cast. 15 psi will make 400rwhp.

OK, so that is on the HKS undivided FC cast manifold and it fits no problems!
