ECUs???

Will 86 and 87 ecus work for an 88. Some say yes seems like if have seen somewhere that the 88 had a different ecu though. Any thoughts or words of wisdom on the subject?

Yes. As long as you put an NA ECU into an NA car, or a turbo ECU into a turbo car. The difference is in the wiring harness.

86, 87 and 88 are S4 model. They are running the same ECU, just have to define its for NA or Turbo use.

Yes this is all out of NA cars. I have an 86 ecu that I was wanting to try in an 88 that is having some problems that I think may be ecu related but did not want to swap them out if it could mess something up.

Thanks for the help.
