Question ECU woes...

Ok so im rebuilding my N/A with everything ready to run boost. Supercharged boost that is. I would like to go with a hlaf bridgeport, aand 860cc(i believe thats the size) secondaries, and an upgraded fuel pump, with all this done, the supercharge will be a ported M90 mounted on the drivers side, after the throttle body running through an intercooler, basically im following sonicRat, and doing it the right way. My question is will i max out the ECU, and if i do is there anything i can do other then going stand alone or will i have no choice but to go stand alone?

We're gonna have to wait for Rat on this one, but your post brings up an interesting question- how the heck does the NA boost sensor relay true positive pressures to the ECU? And what would an NA ECU do with them anyway? The new supercharger kit from Atkins says nothing about modifying or replacing that sensor, so I'm wondering how all you "aftermarket" guys are doing it?

I have a question, is it a S5 or S4 your SC? If its a S5 your lucky because you can uses the PowerFC on your 7. (You'll need the FC wiring harness, which RX7store.net sells when they can get hold of it, and you'll need the pressure sensor off a FD which shouldnt be too hard to find. I know this because EAGE8 is prepping to run a PowerFC on his S5) with a PowerFC I think tuning for the SC will be much easier. Are you just upgrading your secondary injectors? Also, get a boost gague.

S4, im getting a boost and vacuum gauges, but i need to know if the stock ECU will max out at some 250hp or so. I was thinking of 720 primaries and 860 secondaries,im still thinking this out, want to get it right the first time

I've got about 265-270ish HP on my Turbo N/A, with just 550 primaries and 720 secondaries. I think 4x720 is about as high as you're going to want to go on the stock ECU.
