ECU Wiring question Easy for those who know what they are doing!!!!
I am tracing my S5 TPS wires back to the ecu to check for continuity. I am getting continuity from the 3D pin (Br/B) to the 2I pin (Br/W) Does this mean that there is a short. I am getting a Code 12 and 18 (narrow and full range tps error). I swtiched the TPS with a know working one with the same error code. Anyone?

To do that you'd have to disconnect every wire the Br/W and Br/B wires go to.......including the ECU plugs. IF the Br/W was grounded, then the engine won't even run because of the loss of the ref voltage inside the ECU to all the gobbly gook that uses ref voltage.
oops.......you'd also probably have to undo the gnd poiints for the ECU gnd point also since the Br/B is also spliced to it the last time I looked.
You could just undo the TPS conenctor and put the key to ON. IF the Br/W wire shows approx 5vdc............it ain't a grounded nowhare.
