ECU reprogram question
Ok looking at my ECU it has yellow writing on the cover, someones initals on the sticker and when I opened the cover one of the chips has a black sticker on it with some numbers. Does this mean my ECU has been reprogrammed?
Or how do I tell if it has? What Eprom do they reprogram?
O' ya and this is a S5 TII if that matters.
THanks

2nd yellow paint is often found a junkyards to help parts guys figure out what it came from
3rd all chips have stickers on them refereing the program from the factory.
Now if the chip was a in a socket and soldered to the circuit board, then it might be an aftermarket chip... but otherwise no, you don't have some funky programed unit.
