ECU Questions

Looking into getting a engine management system to replace the ecu. The ones i can find are up in the thousand dollar range. I don't want to spend that much but would like it to be able to hook up to a laptop so i can see whats going on. Anybody have any info or links that could point me in the right direction. Thankz

Fluke 43B?? http://www.tequipment.net/FlukePowerQuality43B.html

Worth mor than the car I suppose. Maybe you can go to Search on your computer/server (maybe even this sites Search engine), and search for *automobile data logger* or some such phrase and let us know what you come up with.

Or make yourself a breakout box for your ECU and then use the equal of a Fluke 88 to view whatever you want to look at. You can buy these on E-Bay dirt cheap....one to two hundred bucks.

So...in case anyone reads this reply and knows of a data logger for automobiles ECU outputs etc, what do you use. And we've already eliminated Halteck type devices. Just wanta data log, not adjust/modify squat. Just look. Sota like Playboy TV so to speak. humor
