ECU guys, please check this out!

I came across this link last night on the Acura forum:
http://www.obd2.com/

I don't fully understand the compliance issue…it says that the product works with most cars built after '96, I'm assuming because they came with serial ports(?) Is there a similar port on our late 80s state-of-the-art 7s? I would love to be able to monitor error codes and engine perfomance on my Palm device!

Thanks or all of your help!

The RX7 does not have streaming data, so you can not monitor while running.

No serial port and cars built 96 and later have to have the monitoring for OBDII.

the ecu does send data to the green 6 pin connector by the battery, and on the newer cars they have a diagnostic box, also with streaming data.
there are 2 problems though
1. we dont know what it streams
2. i doubt it would let you change anything

Any the ECU spits out is solely and output.&nbsp You cannot change anything, cause the info is flash PROM'd.
