Thumbs up ECU grounding: results

well today i redid my ECU grounds, all i gotta say is WOW

my acceleration to 5000 is WAY improved, havent gone to redline to see if my hesitation was fixed, the throttle response is imminently better, and before i couldnt hold my car at a constant RPM in any gear, if i tried it would just jump and bounce, now its perfectly smooth im happy with it

btw, i took pictures, when i get them developed ill post a how to on the ecu wiring for future reference, hope it gets in the archive, unlike my 6 port cleaning how to lol

RPECK.......I would have hoped that the Mazda people would have learned their lesson by the time the 89 models came out. In other words I don't know, but surely they learned. After all their the ones that came out with a bulletin to add an extra ground to the earlier models.

the ECU is under the passenger seat. Take out the seat and find the black wire that goes to the chassis from the ECU. just get some wire and attach it to the (-) battery side directly to the black wire on the ECU. Then ground some other stuff to: like the chassis, the block, and all kinds of ****

Actually it's under the passenger's feet, not seat. I just put in a re-programmed unit and just disturbing the nuts affected the ground enough to eliminate the hesitation.

you can do ecu grounding to any fuel injected car, wouldn't it make sense to have just as much ground as power...well that is what it does, it gives you ecu enough ground to make up for the power it is getting and gets rid of hesitation..:P
