ecu going into limp mode after MOP removal

my ecu is going into limp mode now that i have taken the mop and position sensor off. both of them are still plugged in and strapped down to my oil filler neck.

whats the deal? i thought i could take them off the engine, leave them connected and all would be well...

s4's can be removed w/o ECU issues.
S5's can not be removed w/o ECU issues.

Since you laready have them blocked off just run the wiring elsewhere and hook the MOP back up there.

Without the MOP hooked up on an S5, ECU enters limp mode.
