ECU-->CPU?? same thing???

um ok i know the engine ecu is located under the passengers feet.
are the ecu adn the cpu the same thing adn people are just calling them diff things? if not. where is the cpu located?

No... as covered in the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this, the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section:

CPU = Body computer. Controls turn signals, hazard lights, seat belt and light warnings, etc.

ECU = Emissions (or Engine ) Control Unit. Runs the motor and emissions systems.
