Ecu

91 N/A: I am getting intermintent crackling from the passenger side. Is this the ECU or something else on that side. I searched and did not find anything related to this so called problem. Any help will be appreciated.

what do you mean by crackling? like a snap crackle pop noise?

static from the radio?

it is not the radio, it a crackling noise that sounds like a short and sometimes a slight hesitation from the engine when i hear it. it is coming from the passenger side and i think it is the ecu. if there is somthing elese please let me know and i will check.

Pull the carpet back check evrything and see if you cant notice it more when driving.

yeah check for any wires that might be stripped or damaged and shorting out

I don't recall hearing about anything similar to this so chances are its not common problem....

have you or anyone you know done any type of work to ECU or associated wiring lately such as installing an FCD or SAFC perhaps?

edit:wait wait you said NA right? disregard the FCD then - lol
