damn the many companys out there lol. i think i might pay a little more and go with megan since they have all black. there goes another pay check i guess.

hahaha then again, i dont really drive my car that fast or take it to races, so safety of the seats to me is on a low scale. **** lol. i want to good looks cause my car is sooooo vain.

Cool

Hey, what kind of seats did you have in there Karack? I'm interested in them as well. Send some pics to: vintage78@gmail.com

Thanks!

I was also interested in the Netami seats. Maybe even the Carbon Fiber hardshell ones. But the reclining ones looked a little bit slippery for hard driving like leather and probably hot as hell in the summertime. Personally I would go with the Megan seats if I wanted to recline and I would go with the Netami Hardshell seats if I wanted a racing seat.

Those look great. NE1 try to put an RX-8 leather seat in a FC? I thought that would look righteous with Rotor cutouts in the backrest in my FC.

Do any of the seats on ebay fit the FC without adjustment, or do they all need some kind of custom rails?

I didn't trust that ebay crap. I bought two corbeau seats. All black. They hold you in real good. Next week my brother and I are going to finally put in my seat belt bar so i can have my 4pt harness in. The only draw backs are that they are a high ride. I had to cut out some of the foam. I'm 6'2, so if your shorter than that your okay. Also, the brakets were close but some cutting and rewelding did the trick. Nothing too crazy. They look good to.

Yes I'd like to know how the seats feel, they look like they would slide you around. Is the fabric slick or do they hold like a cloth seat would? Yea any writes up for the install and fabs on the sliders would be great. I know Karack (I cant remember if thats the right name) said he'll post one cause I'd like to know the difficulty level for fabricating the sliders.

You had to cut and reweld the stock brackets right? I know corbeau sells brackets for our cars. Does your passenger side seat have the problem of being higher than the driverside one?

Those Netami seats look really nice, some of the pics on ebay though make the blue look really bright and ricey. If they were a darker blue they'd look really nice with my blue interior.

they grip just fine, the seat holds me in place so there is no sliding around and it really isn't that slick of a surface.

I really hope you have also invested in a roll bar to keep your head on your shoulders in case of a roll over. As I am sure you are not aware it is very unsafe to be strapped down by a 4pt, in the event of a roll over you are unable to adjust your bodies position in time to keep your head from sustaining a massive trauma.

Don't take my word for it I'm only in medical school intern.

Tenzo R's on Ebay
These fit in my FC really well. They almost feel like they sit a little lower than my stock seats did, nice when your tall. I believe they come in all solid colors including black. They were an EXTREMELY easy install. I used all the stock mounting hardware, even the seat mounting screws went in like stock. All I had to do was drill a couple new holes in the stock sliders. The 4pnt harness were equally simple to install.
Tools: Electric drill with a good bit. 3/4 Rachet w/ 12mm,14mm sockets.

welp, for the passenger side seat I had to do some customizing so it was level. I wish I still had the plans on how I did it, but I dont. I will try to find them, had diagrams and stuff measurements. Lemme see!! if I remember right i think I post a thread with the diagrams and measurements.

I thought it would be good just to point out hat these are not REAL racing seats. Just incase someone is wondering that comes across this thread.

I like the natami ones alot and thinking about a pair of the black/white ones.
Karak would love the writeup :-)

...Damn I paid 400$ a pice for my Momo's a few years ago. "Racing ones with no adjustments"

ok yes everyone knows they r not racinf seats and that they r not safe. i just hav them in there because the previous owner put them and he could not find cheaper seats to replace the stock ones. i dont relly wanna add anymore heigth to the pass. seat just to level it i just want them lower and level. i like those tenzor's but for 400+ man they better fit rite. i just want some cheap *** seats that fit rite.

i honestly think the netami are POS. the megan racing seat are okay. the mazdaspeed ones are horrible. my friend has a tenzo r seat and its only for show IMO (still looks ugly). those seats probably weight more than your stock seats. if you want a better design seat i would go with tom motorsport seat, memory fab or those copy bride in cloth. if you want some quality sfi approved bucket go with the sparco sprint around $210 ea. (cheapest one around). i got a bride zeta III.

Sparco Sprints are I think the cheapest FIA approved buckets you can buy. Nice with the Zeta III's I'm saving up for ONE after I get coilovers.

Are momo seats FIA approved?
