ebay clutch kit. is it poo?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33730

there are a few on there.. all 6 puck sprung. under $200. this would be for use for a part time street car, mostly for drag racing. (street and track)

it might be harsh when it grabs but i can deal with it. im wondering if it will last for a while and not break after 2 months.

what do ya think?

87 tii, 300~rwhp.

Hey I have the NA version of this clutch on my car and I don't regret getting it. I can't testify for power ratings, as my car is lacking in the hp, but it grabs like crazy, and has been putting up with lots of abuse for 6 months without any problem. There is no question that it has a rough engagement though. Hope you like shift lock when downshifting for a corner.

I have this clutch, just not in the car I haven't gotten around to putting it in yet but did some research and everyone that has it says they like it except the ones that where pushing like 450-550hp that say it slipped with them.

center force sucks. ACT or a multi disk clutch is the only way to go unless you enjoy replacing them and destroying flywheels.

We have a winner!

Actually, Mazda doesn't make clutches. They outsource to Daikin Clutch/Exedy for all their clutch needs... including their MazdaSpeed line. :)

I just ordered that EXACT clutch 4 days ago. I'm waiting for it to arrive and put it in. For 200, I get what I pay for if it sucks...

I've used ACT clutches in just about every car I've ever owned. I stand behind them and suggest just going ahead and buying a clutch from a well known manufacturer.

Yeah, i was talkin with one of the guys from Exedy and he says that Daiken (their subsidiary company) makes all the OEM replacement clutches for mazda. So i was wondering why the Bonez clutch i got had Daiken etched on the disc. That clutch started making a lot of squeeling noise, the guy said its cuz its a heavier pressure plate with a stock disc. So dont buy that one. I believe a company called LUK makes the ones for Ford.
