eBay boost controller

Has anyone here ever had any experience with the homemade boost controllers that are all over eBay?

BoostValve

This is what I'm running and I like it a lot. It performs very well.

Just make sure the one you get is a ball & spring type.

How long have you had it? How reliable?

Since Nov. '01. They were only $20 back then and it was one-size-fits-all.

It's rock solid, the same today as the day I put it in. I just moved up to 10.5psi from 8.

I just noticed the solenoid kit at the bottom of the replacement parts page but there's no info. on it. Interesting. That'd be cool to be able to adjust it on the fly without having to mount the whole valve inside.
