EBAY and 2nd gens? WTF is going on

Well, I saw a 10AE that is awesome on ebay. I mean I never ever seen a 2nd gen so beautiful in my life.

12,000 dollars
29,000 miles

Part of me say, "its worth it" another part says, "woo thats alot."

Now I saw this other 2nd gen and the bids have gone up to 10,000 dollars. Unless there is gold in the fuel tank or a map to a treasure etched on the firewall you have to be sick to buy this car. However, its ebay and a lot of things happen for some God reason.

wow, that thing is beautiful.

FWIW, I just picked up an 87 GXL, 51,000 miles, new engine, clutch, and struts 6,000 miles ago. Few dings on the body, but otherwise in great shape...less than $4,000...

I found my 89se with TII wing & slotted mirrors (factory options put on at the time of purchase), 38,000kms on the clock, that's about 25,000mi, 2yrs ago. Bone stock, 1 owner, a 60 year old man... Winter stored, driven once a year to Pennsylvania. I couldn't believe it when I saw it, it was like it was frozen in time, absolutely showroom condition.

I paid 6500 Cdn for it, approx, 4700US. I've yet to see a better bargain. Some guy on here had a red TII low mileage that he got at a great price. That's close. Good deals are out there, you've just got to be in the right place at the right time.

Someone on the forum just got a 10 AE with 12,000 origional miles for $7,000. Now THAT is a good deal. The car looks like it is brand new. He said the owner rarely drove it and when he did, he washed and waxed it before he put it back in the garage. Unbelievable car.

Isn't it true that when rotary engines sit for that long without being driven any, they are much more liable to crack an apex seal???? Carbon Buildup?

Im glad there selling for that much money, it shows ppl really take these cars for what they are and are willing to pay top dollar to have one of the best and rarest japanese sports cars ever made. I hope it ups the value of all FC's.

The second one could be a fake. Private auction, one feedback on the seller, one photo, 15 bids . . .

Oh, sorry ERAU -- Now I see... my mistake!

That's insane, and yeah I agree that it's gotta be fake. Even I have bid on my own auctions... NOBODY would pay that much for that car, there's nothing special about that model of RX-7 at all!

Oh, and WHO was the guy that bought the 10AE for $7000? That IS a steal!!! I wanna see pics!!
