go buy a pump from checker for 10bux or check aaroncakes website.
I'm pretty sure there's a write up on how to make a pneumatic pump ouyt of your oil bottles.

find a tube that fits the hole of the tranny get a funnel also. At least 3-4ft of tubing as i recall. Put the tube in the tranny hole and bring the other end up into the engine bay put the funnel on the tube and pour. ^_^

Just make sure the tube is IN the tranny so it won't pop out and leak. Thats the only way I can fill my tranny up. Easiest and fastest.

Yes.

BTW, the stuff smells like *** and even with a pump, it still can be pretty messy.

I know on my old s13 you could take out the shifter and pour in the fluid that way. Is that possible on the 7? I have to change my fluid and put new shifter bushing so this would be perfect for me. So can you take out the shifter on a manual trans and pour it in that way? By far the cheepest and easiest. Maybe not the fastest.

I think thats why you can do, according to the Haynes manual that is. I need to be doing that here in a few weeks myself....though She wont be driven all that much during her upgrade and maintenance period.

(well of course with the hood open.

I used a 1/2 tube and a small funnel. inserted the tube and filled the funnel above alot of newspaper on top of my motor. worked well. you need to let it sit for a while to get all the oil out of the tube. then plug the end with something, pull the tube out of the tranny's fill hole and slowly puul the tube out the bottom. I jsut threw the tube away, cause i wasnt gonna use it again for a year or so. I bought a pump once acutually three times and at 10 to 15 apice for one time use didnt seem like it was worth it. I cleaned the funnel up and will reuse that in the future. OH I have like ff200 ft of that tubbing left so thats why i threw it away. you can jsut go buy cheap clean hosing and do the same. ond this was on ym RX2 by the way. not sure how well it will work on a 3rd gen. I used a pump on a 2nd gen twice in it kinda sucked. you get tired pumping the pump while on your back, But hey good luck to ya. Lates Matt

I will mail ya some tubing it ya want it. say 5 bucks for ten feet. lmk.

I ran a peice of fuel line up into the engine bay, and stuck the nipple of the bottle in it, then went inside and watched t.v.

all in all it was pretty easy

I still say putting it in throught the shifter is easiest. You get under the car drain the oil. Put plug back in take it of the jak and thats it for getting under the car. Keeping it level or anything. Now just pull the shifter and pour away. Quick and easy. And you not under the car wrenching atbolts that may be stuck and stripped.

I use the funnel & long tube method with old newspapers to catch what overflows.

Im pretty sure my buddy uses old sno cone syrup pump bottles as a pump. Just attach a rubber hose to the end, and pump away. We use this method to fill most of the **** around the garage that is hard to reach.

Have you ever done it that way on your RX-7 tranny? These transmissions use a Ford SROD (Single Rod OverDrive) type transmission, the shifter and gear chambers have seperate supplies for fluid.

Hey Driftin8ez Like Mr dirt said, the shifter housing only fits a smalll amount to keep the bottom of shifter lubricated, I only wish it was that easy like a 240sx, you have to fill it from the very top transmission fill plug, which the 6 dollar pump from vavoline makes it a couple minuet job

BTW I use an old Arizona Iced Tea Gallon jug.

The plastic is VERY thick and strong. It's done 2 tranny changes and kept together like a champ.

Although seeing the hard molded bottom bulge out is a bit scary lol.

GAWD WHY DIDNT I SEE YOUR SUGGESTION ABOUT 3 WEEKS EARLIER!@!?!!?!?

Thanks Aaron! Ask FullCircle....gawd we had a blast getting that fluid in there. I think I got some old grime into the transmission cuz we took hoses from my oil lines and some other lines from my FB, hooked them all together, then put the hose onto the tip of the bottle and just squeezed down on the bottle with our foot....it was a pain....such a pain that I have been putting off putting in rear end fluid...I will buy an 12v pump today!
