the stock exhaust is very restrictive free up the exhaust will allow for quicker and better boost. will need the fcd and the wastegate does not flow great you will need to port it if you have a better flowing exhaust. that is a good upgrade.

Don't do all of those upgrades without upgrading your secondary injectors and fuel pump. The stock fuel system can barely handle stock boost levels.... This is probably the number one reason why so many fc motors pop so quickly

plenty of threads on this..at least 2-3 a week. its easy to get hp from s4. doing it right can be costly. like everyone stated above.
upgrade fuel pump(walbro 255)
Rtech(1.7)
RB full exhaust
ported wastegate
720 or 850cc secondaries
cleaned primaries
possible short ram
new plugs/wires
boost gauge
All basically one big step process done right though..and of course car should run great before these mods(tune up)
these mods cost round $1700 though

you can do it for way cheaper than that. you can get a used, non RB exhaust, full turboback, for probably like $600-800. you can get away with an SAFC and FCD, both would be about $150 used or less. two 720's used in good condition are like $100 or less, cleaning primaries is cheap... I'd say $1000 is possible if you get good deals. maybe less.
you will need a wideband or time on the dyno to make sure your AFR's are ok though.

I just finished my major upgrades. Took awhile
Get and s5 turbo manifold and hotside-Port the wastegate
Cone type filter with TID
Full RB system.
With the ported s5 hotside you will have no boost creep problems.
I run 5.5lbs of boost and it's plenty of power. Anything more and you have to touch the fuel injectors.DO NOT upgrade with out the ported wastegate. Do these mods first then you have some basic covered. You may also want to do safety mods-such as the replacing the fuel pulsation dampner, replacing coolant hose and vacum hoses. A tune should be done first if not done recently.
