EastBear Headlight kit (replicas)
I'm posting this thread to see if anyone would be interested in ordering an exact replica of the eastbear kit for for a reduced price. I am thinking the kit will be in the $500 range shipped, and will come with all the lights, brackets and anything else you need for a drop in install. It will be layed with fiberglass, and you will have a couple of different lighting choices.
This is just to see responses, and I appreciate any feedback or any questions people may have. Thanks.

Would be interested if it wasn't an "exact" replica. I like the idea, but the Eastbear is my least favorite of all of the non-popup conversions. If it could be similar, but slightly improved, I'd definitely be down for that.

Like I said, this is just to see responces, nothing is definite, and the price isn't definite either. It will be in US funds but shipping is also included. I just want to see if there are people looking for this style of headlight out there...... The price will be gauged after the cost of materials is known.
I will also be offering the fresh air headlight cover if the responces are good for it too. They will go for about $100US.

i dont know about you guys, but if i had that, id probably mess myself..

i think if you could get that price down to the $300.00's you could prolly sell a ton of them. as someone mentioned youc an get the originals for roughly $600.00USD.
good luck on the sales...nice to see people interested in helping out the rest of us who dont have much cash.

Well as I said earlier, the price was just a ball park figure, and it might very well end up cheaper, but I want to see just how many people would be interested in this type of conversion........
As for the Fresh Air Healight cover, yes $100 is shipped, I'll be able to get some pics for this up this weekend.

...94% correct.
east bear sticks up too much. Don't make an exact copy...it's only 50/50 prefference with FC owners and the 50% that don't like them don't like them because they stick too far above the hoodline. Imagine modifying them to where EVERYONE likes them...ya know, why stick with the 50% crowd that East Bear seams content with?

The thing is........ I have the origionals right here to copy. If I want to make a different set, I'll be making them from scratch. Although it still can be done, it will take a lot longer to complete.
So with that being said, what exactly is everyone looking for? Tell me in detail some of the characteristics you want to see for a conversion.
Just for the record I'm a personal fan of the Eastbear, they make the car look Exotic. So keep that in mind when your giving your responces.
Oh and lets say you take the Eastbear kit, and put in Two 2" headlights in each side, rather than the 3" ones. This could dramatically lower the profile of the headlights, and maybe give the desired effect people are looking for. Sound good?

If the 2" still provided ample lighting, I guess that would be an option.
I dunno, I've seen other conversions that used seemingly large bulbs but didn't stick up like those do. The front bumper was cut down, but this didn't really bother me either.
I realize this is an RE front end, but still like this type of style much better.
I realize you personally like the Eastbear kit, but I think if you took a poll of other FC owners, you'd find that this style is more popular. Hey, if you're gonna put in the time and effort and money to make something that you want to try to market, might as well start w/ the most popular items first, right?

Opinions vary about the East Bear Kit. For everyone that says they like It, another one will say they don't like It and another will say RE, another C West etc.
I appreciated the EB's more after seeing them for the first time In person when I bought them.
There Is not enough pics floating around to do this Kit justice. Again, my opinion.

But like you said, if more people are wanting a more specific coversion kit, then I would love to hear what they are looking for. To be more elabrate, I mean a kit that doesn't require any bumper or body modification. So please, if you have any ideas let me know. Thanks.
