i THINK that the purpose to having the fan pull with the rx7bis to pull the heat away from the rad while providing a steady air flow to the block and other components .. putting the faan between the fmic and the rad would significantly recude the ammount of ambiant air at idle going to the engine thus causing overheating .. or just higher opp temps .. witch is never a good thing with these vehicles as we have all been reminded of constantly

There would be no major benefit, as some fans can actually be pusher fans. The only benefit would be if it was ugly would be to hide it and make the engine bay even cleaner with the pretty aluminum fins there. The thing to look out for though is improper ducting, make sure it is ducted to the radiator if not both.

The engine loses most of it's heat from the coolant and oil not via air around the engine block

Placement is more of an availability factor. Although if placed behind you can fab a shroud to help pull air.

I think a pusher fan would be useless unless you went like said above"show".

lol Pusher and Shover robots. Terrible Secret of space. lol

That fan looks to be plenty big enough to cool the rad. I wasnt sure if you meant he put the fan on the back (bay side) of the intercooler and just had it blowing onto the rad. but not shrouded to the radiator. Also, they must do well enough, why would this have them if they didnt?

You need to check to see whether your fan is more efficient as a puller or pusher and use it as such.
There is no benefit either way. Airflow is airflow and you'll overheat if it is inadequate either way. It all depends on the fan and the shrouding or available room.
