Dyno results for the yellow car

On saturday mike and I took the 2 yellow cars, the 93 cym and my 89 cym T2 to have them dynoed. I wanted a baseline of what the motor could put out. For those that dont know, heres basically what its got:

street ported series V 13B
hybrid stock turbo, stock wastegate
racing beat 3" exhaust
v-spec intercooler
stock ecu
1600cc secondaries

well, i wanted to see what she would do running on the stock ecu. Heres what i got at 9psi of boost:

as you can see from the curve, the stock hybrid turbo aint cutting on the high end. The motor needs a much bigger turbo. Too bad that curve didnt keep going up all the way to 8k.

Not bad for a stock ecu eh?

are those 1600cc secondaries really necesary for 9psi of boost? What are you using to control the fuel? Whats a VSPEC intercooler and where can I get one and for how much....sorry for all the questions but I'm looking to run a similar set up, I'm looking for about 275RWHP and I think with all the stuff I plan on buying it should be possible.

1600cc injectors too much? Look at the wideband at the bottom. Im using the stock 89 T2 ecu to control the fuel.

intercooler:

275 is very possible, and dont need to spend a ton money. Just have to have a good tuned car.

I love lookihng at those pictures on your website, cym. It always makes me feel all tingley, kinda like when I used to climb the rope in gym class... And CYM is the best color on a rex, hands down.

That's got a really nice and safe A/F

There's no piggyback at all? I'm still in disbelief. How's it when it's not WOT?

Tell me if I'm reading the a/f right. It looks like you got almost to 13:1 a/f ratio. That seems really lean doesn't it? From talking to some high HP FD guys they tell me to keep it around 11.5:1 or so.

Nice power with the stock ECU. I tried putting 680cc in the stock secondaries of my TII and it ran lean before 3800 rpm and rich after. Do you just have the 1600cc plugged in and NO other mods?

THanks,
Jeff

On the second run its a bit leaner than id like when the secondaries open up, but still below 13. Yes, the 1600cc injectors are just soldered into the factory wiring harness. To fix that transition mixture ill have to run a super AFC and richen it up.

I still amazed the car even ran, let alone put down those correct A/F ratios... thats just over 2x more fuel (2200cc-4300) with only a 50% increase in power...

Good job on the dyno there, there is still more power to be had with that stock ecu. I got 318rwhp at 10psi but I had to let out at 6500 because of boost creep for a vac hose found later. But I do have a couple questions for you, first looking through your site I see the guage pod you have in the idiot light place, where did you get that. I need one cause my new car has the roll cage and I cant put them on the a-pillar. Second where did you get that greddy intercooler and about how much do they cost? Thanks
