Those are Mustang numbers as well.

It would be great if you could go on a DynoJet and compare numbers.

I made 276 on a Mustang and 328 on a DynoJet...

I hit 15psi the other night racing a couple ricers
Wow! You're running that stock S4 turbo up to 15 pounds w/o bigger injectors or a controller? No boost controller? I'm impressed and worried for you at the same time. I'm not sure how to put this since everyone's frame of reference is different. Did it feel like it was efficient up there? Could you feel the boost increase from say, 12 to 15? It's just that from what I've gleaned in my couple years of rotary experiences, is that's way out of the efficiency range of the stock turbo. Either S4 or S5. I would think detonation would be really hard to avoid since intake temps must be soaring.

Yeah I was waiting for someone to say something about the type of dyno.

The Mustang is what I think they call a "load cell" dyno and is able to do static loads which is exactly what I was looking for. Dynojets are of the type where you have to make runs.

This allowed me to set my A/Fs for cruise. Also you can put whatever load you want on it at any RPM, in any gear so you can dial in boost wherever you want it on the fly.

In short, way more sophisticated than Dynojet.

Who knows about the numbers. To think it was 7% more would be nice - 209, so would over 15%(276/328) - 226, but that's neither here nor there.

Thanks to everyone for their replies.

Yeah i cant understand it. Any idea how i can be accomplishing this? I know about the detonation aspect and im a moron for boosting like that but i had to try it only the second time ive done it. As far as feeling a diffrence from the 10 to lets say the 15, you know i dont really know cuz i waas accelerating so the car kept feeling like it was getting more and more power. This was in second and i wasent giving it WOT by the way. The last time i hit 15psi was in 3rd i went up to like 85 or so. I dunno man i need a good explination really, i just think its boost creep cuz i have no controller of any kind

I think you're right. That's what I'm worried about when I open up my exhaust. I don't know how you're getting away with it. Maybe the Walbro is overwhelming your reg. more than mine. I only saw a pound or two more on my rail when I put mine in recently.

There's a real interesting thread somewhere here where a guy put temp sensors all over the place in the intake tract. It'd sure be nice to have all that info. on hand.

Ryl, Do you have a ported wastegate? Just wondering because I am planning on running my ser 4 TII motor with a full 3 inch exhaust and ported wastegate and I was wondering how well the ported wastegate will keep the levels down? Anyone know what I might be boosting on a ser 4 turbo with full 3 in exhaust and tid mod with ported wastegate using stock flapper?
