dyeing interoir black,some questions

what kind of fabric dye should i use to do this project? is it hard to do? can you use the same dye to do the fabric and the dash(it is kind of squishy material, almost vinyl like). i just got a white momo wheel and a guage pod i am installing and i dont like the greyish interior, after installation i will post some pics. please provide some info on dyeing interiors if you have done this before, thanks

SEM makes a flexible coating paint that has worked GREAT on my '87. I used it on all the vinyl / plastic in the interior over a year ago and it still looks perfect. No cracking / peeling / scratching. I picked this up at an auto body supply shop. I used the vinyl prep. they make to go with this paint (not sure if it's necessary). I used "Graphite", it's slightly darker than my faded '87 interior.
