It's about $7 a can (Canadian) & about $7 a can for the ground coat which gives it the anodized look. Heat & scratch resistant. Here is their web site which tells you all the details. Iused their whhel paint & clear to do the wheel in my avatar, bout the same price.

Says it can handle temps up to 500*F.... Any chance it could be used on the rotor housings/irons... or would they get too hot and burn the paint?

i've used paint rated at 500* on rotor housings and irons. They don't get that hot. If they do, something is wrong with the engine.

Sweet Deal.... I think that a motor with a Red/black(maybe just regular black?) combo with this paint would look sweet... I guess I'm a ricer at heart...

Let us know if you experience any slipping or abnormal belt wear on the pullies. I've read it is not advised to paint the actualgrooves where the belts sit.

Does it bond to plastics as well or only metal?

I didnt get much paint in the grooves & sanded it off, so no issue. Yes, it bonds to plastic very well.

I love MetalCast. Seriously. My colour scheme for the car is black/red. The engine alternates between red MetalCast and black VHT. Looks spectacular in the sun.

You can get some amazing effects if you change the base coat. Large gold or silver flake, with many coats of metalcast makes an amazing kandy effect. Mixing MetalCast colours also can produce intresting effects, as can combining it with colour shifting paint.

i LOVE this stuff too, i painted my housings, ALT bracket, Pipe thet connects Turbo to TMIC, CAS cap, and Misc brackets adn stuff

The key to useing this stuff to get it to look really nice is use like a buffing wheel or seomthing and polish it first to get the nice swirl marks in it. Then paint it it cahnges colors and looks awsome.

BTW front cover, LIM waterpump + waterpump houseing is powdercoated. NOT with teh metalcast paint.

Be careful with this stuff.. while I agree that it can definately add a nice touch to some things, you can easily go overboard with it and make your car look gaudy. Just my opinion of course

Damn, this is wierd. I just built a customer's engine and it was painted up with this same stuff...I have to admit, it looked pretty killer in person, even though the rest of the car was lacking.

How close is that anodized blue to the cusco blue? If it's close enough I could match all my pimp cusco suspension parts.
