dumbest thing ever.

okay i was driving up a small hill, then all of the sudden my car started to slow down pretty quickly, the engine was still running, and idling fine, but for some odd reason its did not go forward i tried to put it into first a drive but when i did that it didn't budge. so i put it in neurtal and attempted to push it forward but it still wasn't moving. now comes the weird part, it could still drive in reverse. and it would push backwards just fine, but not forwards. so i got it towed to my house, and when it got off the tow truck, i swear i saw the rear wheels move forward, so i pushed it forward and it moved? so i was like what the hell? so i got in a tried to start it, but i would start would turn over or anything, im not sure if its because my battery is weak, cause my flashers were on for like 2 and a half hours waiting for triple A. or what. but i'm stuck. any thoughts or suggestions would help, and i know armchair diagnosing isn't the best advice, but it helps.

also when it happened was 2:30 am while there was a thunder storm, wasn't raining when i was driving then all the sudden once i step foot out of my car.... of course a F***ing down pour starts and goes all the way through until the tow truck gets there which isnt a flat bed, and my car is super low, so i had to wait an additional hour for a flat bed to come, then i had to walk two miles to my our house. over all bad day, or morning.

sorry i wrote so much im just super angry cause im broke, because i gave al my money to a friend trying to get his fc out of the impound lot before they auction it

Is your brake fluid level dropping? I had a similar issue before where the brakes would slowly lock up on an old TII I had. The master cylinder was leaking on the back side into the brake booster. The brakes weren't returning and would slowly just completely lock as the car was driven. You could go backward or sit for 30 minutes and wait for it to free up.

A new master cylinder was only $60.

okay i figured out what the problem is, my right rear break caliper came off, and positioned itself in a funny way that allowed it to move backwards but not forwards, both the blots that held on the caliper plate came off so i got a new plate cause the other was bent hella bad. then that fixed the problem. i feel like a slight idiot, but atleast it was something simple.
