sorry for posting so much,im just trying to fix my shiznit,i swear i feel stupid but wich way does the thermostat go? springs up or down,i cannot remember wich way it was when i took it out and i cant find the answer through search,sorry for all the posts,but i need help

 

You set the spring down.

*edit* would the housing even install with the spring facing up?

 

Spring side goes towards the engine.

I never installed one the wrong way. Is the filler neck long enough to accomadate the spring side?

 

yeah it would fit,i took it out for a few minutes to run the hose through the engine to finish off the flush and went to put it back in,and then i just went totaly blank,thanks a lot guys
