Dud TPS?

Ok guys, I have been trying to fix my TPS for a couple of weeks with nothing except tonight. Ok, my dad and I took Hailers info, thank you very much btw. Set the damn thing to it's narrow range. However, if I plug the damn thing into the Full range plug and screw around with the screw won't I mess up the setting on the narrow range? Moreover, the car runs better than before, idles at 750 and doesn't jump. When it was off it jerked a whole friggin lot. And I can even drive the thing around at lower than 15 miles an hour which I take it is a real problem for some of the guys without riding the clutch. Anyway, when I check the codes on the CPU it still tells me that the high and narrow range is off. Moreover, the check engine light will go off when I am on the gas however, comes back on when I take my foot completely off. Any help guys? Should I replace the TPS? It doesn't look very hard, couple of screws and a connector. Maybe I should wait until I fix my exaust than try it again? Or am I doing something wrong....AGAIN!!!

Seperate the tps plug from the harness. Turn the engine off first. Now looking into the tps plug, towards the tps and your meter on ohms, put one meter lead on A and the other meter lead on B. Write down the reading with the tps plunger fully in, then fully extended. You may have to move the throttle lever to accomplish this i.e. for the plunger to move thru its full travel.

Do the same thing for pins E and D.

COmpare your reading with the ones in the jpg that is attached.

Write back and tell us what you got for readings. ]

Don't buy a tps, please.

Also, remember the url I gave you that had these words

*FULL - Probe the FULL DATA line. It should read close to 0.8v. (Safe range is probably 0.6 to 1.0.) If it is off, take a large pair of pliers, and gently bend the entire metal TPS "platform" left or right as necessary to bring the voltage to 0.8v. A little goes a long way, so be gentle. Once the voltage is close to 0.8v, you are done with the FULL range.
NARROW - Probe the NARROW DATA line. It should read roughly 1.0v (but it could be way off.) Turn the TPS adjust screw until you get 1.0v. Don't forget to "blip" the throttle to make sure it has settled. Double-check the connector using the (step 7) method above. (It should be correct, only one side active.) If both (or neither) sides are active, you'll need to fall back on the method above. When you are finished adjusting, double-check the voltage for the NARROW DATA again. It should be close to 1.0v (0.75 - 1.25 is tolerable.) *

He's saying, if you use the voltage method, with the car fully warmed up, that it may be required to just bend the tps platform just a touch to get the 0.8 volts. After that is done, you can then set the NARROW range using the tps screw. The narrow range should be approx one volt when adjusted.
